Dance Like no one is watching
When the lines are blurred between performance, pedestrian and improvisation

This Walkabout is available to provide entertainment at your festival in collaboration with your local dancers.
Dance Like No One is Watching is an innovative walkabout improvised dance piece that delves into the dynamic between pedestrian experiences and spectacle. This performance emphasizes selfploration within public spaces, prioritizing personal expression over traditional spectator-focused shows.
Presented at the Quayside Festival in 2021, it featured a collaboration with Lucy Hartland-man and her talented dance troupe. The young dancers embraced the freedom to play and improvise, engaging with their surroundings and each other to create a vibrant, spontaneous experience. Through fluid movements and creative interactions, the dancers transformed everyday spaces into stages of artistic expression.
Each step and gesture invited onlookers to reconsider their relationship with dance, encouraging them to see it as a shared experience rather than a performance confined to a stage. This unique approach not only showcased the dancers' skills but also fostered a sense of community and connection among participants and spectators alike.
